British Columbia Showcase
Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, the LEED Gold certified British Columbia Showcase (BC Showcase) played an important role in the Province of British Columbia’s 2010-related activation. The BC Showcase is comprised of two connected spaces; one highlighting the Province through multimedia presentations and interactive displays, the other a versatile hosting area.
Facility Highlights:
- Components made by businesses located around the province, including recycled glass tiling, innovative low energy light fixtures, natural flooring and furniture;

- Original hand-carved cedar doors used at the BC-Canada House at the 2006 Torino Winter Games;
- Interior fir and larch flooring from three BC regions;
- A unique ceiling crafted from wood donated by communities across the province;
- The BC Explorer interactive fly-through experience and BC Stories kiosk;
- Innovative, multi-screen presentations that highlight British Columbia’s attributes as the Best Place on Earth, and Canada’s Pacific Gateway;
- Two large-scale high definition projection screens to support audio-visual presentations;
- Large format window projection displays;
- Over 2,500 square feet of space for presentations, meetings, receptions and networking sessions;
- The Digital Gateway: A walk-through experience featuring interactive animated artwork of BC industry.
