Organizing Committees

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) assigns the Olympic Games Organizing Committee (OCOG) with the responsibility of establishing functions and services for all aspects of the Games, such as sports planning, venues, finance, technology, accommodation, catering, media services and all operations during the Games.

In order to fulfill these responsibilities OCOGs have to procure a vast array of goods and services. Each Organizing Committee approaches the procurement process in a slightly different manner. The links below provide an in-depth review of the procurement practices for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games and the London 2012 Summer Games.
